Some early day tragedies on the Coorong.

Unpublished typescript based on author's recollections, information gathered from residents in the Coorong and contemporary sources, including newspapers, police records and material in S.A. Archives. The Coorong is a small strip of territory extending from Goolwa to Kingston, S.A. The account, covering the period 1831-1862 includes mentions of attacks on settlers, killing of Aborigines and details of the wreck of the ship Maria and the fate of the survivors.
